Real Life Gets In the Way

Working with the Arizona Peer and Family Coalition, I have assisted in bringing bill HB 2066, through the Arizona Legislature to be signed by the Governor.  http://www.azcentral.com/news/politics/articles/20130123bill-striking-archaic-mental-illness-definition-advances.html

The next fight is the budget for the State.  Medicaid Expansion severely effects Behavioral Health and it is worth paying attention to.

I will be making an effort to get this back going again.  I took some time out for a new baby.

Budget Update!

Initial Budget Update!

Governor Brewer released her proposed budget today, and the news is not good for kids and families.  It is time to mobilize as advocates, and let the politicians know that this is not acceptable, and ways need to be found to maintain basic services to the vulnerable members of our society.
